Interested in becoming a REC REFEREE?

We are always looking for new referees for our Larchmont recreational soccer program.   It's a great way to make money, give back to the community, learn to handle responsibility, have fun, and add to your college resume!

New referees (particularly 8th and 9th graders) begin by reffing our Minor divisions- grades 2 and 3- then move up as they gain experience.  We ask that each ref make a commitment to ref AT LEAST 2 games in a row on Saturday; assignments are done online a week in advance.

In order to be a ref you need to take one of the Level 9 (confusing, but this is the first level) reffing courses offered by the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL).     This is the link for the referee class:  http://wyslsoccer.org/referees/becoming-a-ussf-certified-soccer-referee-1.   Right now there are no classes scheduled.   Please email if you've taken the 4 hour online course.

Once you've completed the course you are certified to ref WYSL games on Sunday as well.

Scholarship funds are available to cover the cost of the class if you are willing and able to make a firm commitment to ref at least 20 games over the course of the season.  Please email the Ref Coordinator at larchmontrefs@gmail.com.

Once you have taken the class please email the rec coordinator and larchmontrefs@gmail.com and we will add you to the master list.   Any questions?  Please let me know.
